Teacher Research Academy Level 1

Teacher Research Academy Level 3

Summary:

Teacher participants who have attended TRA levels 1, 2, or equivalent programs (ex. SIMMS) and have incorporated modeling and NetLogo into a year of their teaching will return for a 3rd week of instruction with two students. Teachers and students will be introduced to a research question scientists, tours of research facilities, and collaborative research. Students will build and present a model incorporating their research findings. Teachers will help facilitate the modeling process and will learn pedagogical techniques in project based learning.

Up to approximately 25 elementary, middle, and high school teachers and students.
